VSC Fire & Security, a leading fire protection and life safety system contractor, is seeking qualified candidates for a Customer Service Coordinator for the Mobile, Alabama district.

The responsibilities for this position include direct coordination and management of the daily schedules for field Service Technicians providing fire alarm, low voltage and fire protection services to a wide variety of customers. The Customer Service Coordinator will interact with customers when service calls are received and then coordinate the daily schedules for the Service Technicians. The Customer Service Coordinator will work with the customer and technician schedules and document the initial site assessment and any necessary follow-up service visits in order to address the needs of the customer. The Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for invoicing the customer and also manages accounts receivables for technician services.

Requirements Include:

  • Two years experience in customer service which includes advanced interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, the ability to understand and address customer issues and concerns, and strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with accuracy and judgment in responding to a wide variety of tasks
  • Self-starter who is organized and thrives on providing organization and order in a busy field service call business setting
  • Experience with bookkeeping procedures including billing, accounts receivable, and collections
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office) essential with accurate keyboarding skills
  • Geographical knowledge of Mobile, AL and surrounding areas as well as excellent map reading skills
  • Construction industry experience is preferred but not required
