VSC Fire & Security, a leading fire protection and life safety system contractor, is seeking qualified candidates for a Low Voltage Service Manager for our Rogers, AR location.

We are looking for a Low Voltage Service Manager with a proven track record, strong business management expertise, and excellent communications skills. The Low Voltage Service Manager is responsible for management, and supervision of the service department team and also generates new business and coordinates estimates on fire alarm monitoring, service contracts & service repair opportunities. The Low Voltage Service Manager also assigns and monitors work of the Service Department, coordinates hiring, training, development, and, if needed, disciplinary action and termination of the service staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain current client base through scheduled contact with owners and property managers and seeks new business through follow up of leads, new contacts, specific marketing strategies and the expansion of related services
  • Prepare proposals, submit estimates, and negotiate contracts with new and established customers
  • Monitor activity, productivity, and accuracy of department service technicians to generate and maintain their client accounts
  • Plan and monitor job costs and profitability of contracted repair work to meet department goals
  • Provides service site evaluations to clients and to handle discrepancies, complaints, and advice on recommended remedial action or procedures
  • Communicate with facility owners, their representatives, tenants, occupants, and other contractors pertaining to anticipated inconveniences, critical outages, supervisory station notifications, and insurance carrier recommendations
  • Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction, and building inspectors where required, to represent the client's interests and to resolve issues of non-compliance or discrepancy
  • Monitor the service repair reports regarding discrepancy or non-compliance, and follows up appropriate interventions
  • Visit sites as necessary to check on progress of work, and fulfillment of contractual commitments
  • Maintain service technicians' performance criteria and various licensing requirements
  • Manage the service department safety program, training, and protocols
  • Provide in-service training for department personnel and supports training for staff licensing and certification testing

Required Experience

  • NICET I or above certification
  • Current certifications in Gamewell FCI & Fike Systems
  • Knowledge and experience related to the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems, fire alarm systems, access control, security, CCTV, fire suppression systems, and clean agent systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable State and Local Codes, NFPA Standards, and the Authorities Having Jurisdiction governing the location of the company's work geography
  • Demonstrated successful experience generating new business as well as management experience required
