VSC Fire & Security, a leading fire protection and life safety system contractor, is seeking an experienced Office Manager for our Charleston office.
The responsibilities for this position include direct handling and management of accounting, administrative, human resources, safety and operational support for the office. In addition, this position assigns and supervises work of an administrative assistant.
We are seeking a candidate with seven to ten years of Office Manager or similar administrative experience. Experience with bookkeeping procedures to include billing, AIA forms, project schedule of values, certified payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable are all essential. Candidates must have the following skills: professional demeanor, advanced computer skills (Word/Excel/ Outlook/Access), ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude, and self-motivation. In addition, good judgment in decision making, ability to handle employee and customer concerns, and the ability to successfully prioritize tasks are all required. College coursework, construction industry experience, and supervisory experience in an office environment are preferred.
