The Virginia Beach district of VSC Fire & Security is seeking candidates for the position of Low Voltage System Service Technician. This position will be responsible for the commissioning and service of Fire Alarm, Special Hazard, Intrusion, Access Control, CCTV, Audio, A/V, Networking, and other low voltage system applications.

The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in starting up, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic systems to include addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, server and IP based systems, as well as various other low voltage system wiring and components.  Programming, commissioning, and system testing experience is necessary.  A diverse knowledge of multiple fire alarm manufacturer's product lines is preferred such as Notifier, Firelite, Fike, FCI, EST, Siemens, Simplex, Hochiki, and Silent Knight.  Candidates with the required experience, NICET, BICSI, AVIXA, or other applicable low voltage certifications, an electrical journeyman's card, or electrical apprenticeship training will be given preference.  

The position requires excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete forms and documents related to the scope of the position.  Must be able to read and comprehend drawings and schematics and have a good understanding of control wiring logic.  Professional image, forward thinking, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills are required. Candidate must always represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Candidate must also be capable and willing to work a flexible schedule, as required by customer needs from time to time. DCJS background check and registration will be necessary.
